How We Met
As a soldier and a person who enjoys fitness I immediately found a fitness home when I got stationed in Germany. I had noticed Markus many times at the gym but found myself reserved in many situations in Germany because I do not speak the native language. It was only a matter of time that we began a conversation and I soon asked him if he would like to meet for a coffee. He was, of course, delighted and shocked I had asked him.
He surprised me with a cute bakery in Killesburg Park where he suggested we have cake and coffee. Cake?! Absolutely, this was my sort of a man. He took me for a walk around the lake and then up this spiral tower to show me a stunning view of Stuttgart. Every date from then on was always an adventure. Two months later we were flying off to Thailand for two weeks (I think back to how crazy I must have been, I hardly knew him at this point). Despite how crazy that was I knew at this point we had something special.
