How We Met
We met while working for the same company. There was a “going away” happy hour for a co-worker leaving the firm and we were introduced by some mutual friends. From then, we started going on dates and joined a recreational kickball team together.
How They Asked
After dating for about 2 1/2 years, Greg planned a weekend trip for us to visit Las Vegas, Nevada, and Zion National Park, Utah. As an active couple, we love playing sports, trying new adventures, and getting out in nature. In Zion, we completed a short hike to a scenic mountain-top view. At the top of the mountain, we took many pictures to commemorate the moment. There were also a ton of other tourists there enjoying the view. Greg was trying desperately to find a secluded spot but there were so many people there, that he decided it was better to wait.
When we got back to the park lodge and were alone in our room, Greg proposed. It was the perfect intimate proposal. We had a nice moment with just the two of us. Since there was limited cell phone reception, we actually did not tell our families and friends until the next day so we got to enjoy 24 hours with our little secret. After we called everyone to share the great news, we celebrated in Vegas with dinner with a fountain view at the Bellagio.
