It was our 5 year anniversary, so he took me where we met for the first time. Bon Echo Provincial Park (we met camping with mutual friends and have gone back every year). He packed a picnic and fold up chairs and took me to a secluded spot by the water looking at the sunset and the rock. We ate our snacks and then he proceeded to tell me how he knew I was snooping.. earlier that week I was putting away laundry and found a jewelry box, I didn’t open it because that would ruin a surprise.
I ended up telling a friend from work and she told him. He gave me the empty jewelry box as a joke then I admitted to snooping and we had a laugh. He looked at me and said “you know how much I love you right? And how I want to spend the rest of my life with you.” Then I started to tear up, he asked me to stand up and full on waterworks happened, he pulled out the ring and asked if I would marry him. Undoubtedly the best day, he couldn’t of picked a better time or place.
