When Kirtesh got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, it was on of the best days of my life. Of course I said Yes! After the proposal, was when I found out all the thought and effort he had put into planning this amazing day or should I say weekend. He took me on a surprise gateway to one of our favorite cities, NYC! Kirtesh and I both lived there in the past, at different times though.
I didn’t know that is where I’d be going until I got to the airport and saw that I was flying to JFK airport. On my flight to NYC I was so excited to just get a weekend with Kirtesh in another city.
We spent Friday evening walking around the city and eating all our favorite foods. The next day we spent the morning touring and in the afternoon he told me he had a surprise for me. I got dressed and he said he had to make a quick stop. It was at this cute restaurant where we had a glass of wine and picked up a picnic basket. At this point, I knew we were going to Central park, which is what I told him I really wanted to to do while we were there. Central park is one of the most beautiful parks I’ve ever seen. I have lots of memories there from the time I lived in NYC.
After our picnic, we walked around the park. It was summer, so it was absolutely beautiful and romantic. We walked into the Conservatory garden and while I was admiring all the beautiful flowers around a pond, he started saying, “You know I really care about you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you…..,” he went on but that’s all I heard, because after that he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said Yes! I was so surprised!!!!! I saw the ring and I had a huge smile on my face. It was my dream ring. I thanked him a thousand times after that for my beautiful ring.
All along, he had a Mariann, a great photographer, capturing all these special moments. After the proposal we walked around the park, took some more pictures all while we were both soooooo happy.
