How We Met
When I was living in Japan, Steve’s sister and cousin were planning a trip to come visit me. Before they arrived, their family had a “sayonara” party for them, and I saw a picture of Steve posing with some sushi he had made. We became Facebook friends and started talking online. When I moved back to the US, we went on our first date…and the rest is history!
how they asked
It all started when Steve and I were Iceland bound with our sisters. While we were on our flight, I was flipping through the airline magazine and found information on Stuolagil Canyon. It looked beautiful, so we added it to our itinerary. Jump several days ahead when we started our adventure to the canyon. It was a 3 mile hike through the rain on a mostly unmarked trail (with no other tourists except for a few roaming sheep!). When we finally made it to the canyon, we were standing above it on a cliff and decided to take some pictures together. While our sisters were taking pictures of us, Steve says to them, “Keep rolling.” The next thing I know, he is down on one knee, proposing to me on that cliff overlooking the canyon! It was a magical location for the proposal, and it all started with an article in an airline magazine! Thanks WOW Airlines!
