How We Met
We met all the way back in 4th grade and we’re good friends up until 9th grade when we both had crushes on each other! We finally started dating in October of 9th grade.
How They Asked
We took a trip up to Duluth, MN to see Christmas Lights and finally take a trip together just the two of us. We had been talking about going to Duluth for a really long time. Nick bought the ring on Black Friday, without realizing it was Black Friday and asked my dad, mom, and even my brother if he could propose to me. Originally Nick was thinking about asking on Christmas, but with some slight nudging from my mom, he decided to ask on our trip to Duluth! We made our way up to Enger Tower and walked around the building because the gates to go up the tower were closed. Nick said, “Let’s take a picture,” and set up his phone on the wall. We stood back and Nick was super nervous so he kept telling himself to “do it” while kissing my forehead and telling me he loved me. He finally asked me what the date was and I said “the 19th” and he said, “the last day you’ll be my girlfriend!” He got down on one knee, told me he loved me, that I was his best friend, and that he couldn’t imagine his life without me, and asked me to marry him! Of course, I said yes! 😊
