Engagement Proposal Ideas in The Knitting Factory - Boise, ID

How We Met

Kaylob is my best friend in the whole world. And while we got off to an interesting start that’s what he always was. Every tear, every hardship he was always there.

Where to Propose in The Knitting Factory - Boise, ID

Before we officially got together Kaylob moved to Idaho to be a hunting guide and I moved to Reno, Nevada for school. Kaylob did most of his work in the backcountry of Idaho and would be without service for weeks at a time. I had no idea he was even thinking of me until one day I got a “Hello Beautiful” phone call. I traveled 12 hours up there to meet him for a weekend and the rest is history.

How They Asked

Fast forward 5 1/2 years. Kaylob and I are big Texas country music fans. Shane Smith and the Saints are hands down my favorite band. We’ve been to every concert of theirs in Boise and make it a point to shake their hands after every concert. Kaylob messaged the singer of the band a couple of months before the concert throwing out the idea that he’d like to propose but never heard back. On the night of the concert, Kaylob sent a follow-up message to see what he thought. About 30 minutes before they were set to come out he received a reply saying “Let’s do it!”. He brought Kaylob backstage and set it so that he would call us out before my favorite song “Whirlwind”. I had conveniently placed myself in the center of the venue where I would have an unobstructed view. Hearing my name called I had no idea what was about to happen. Did we will a contest or something? Then I turned to see Kaylob backing away and dropping to his knee! My mother who had come up for the concert was also shocked and had no idea! It was the easiest and happiest yes of my life. We spent the rest of the evening dancing, singing, laughing, and drinking all the free drinks given to us.

Not only did he surprise me with that aspect. Kaylob had talked with both of our grandmothers and created a plan for my engagement ring. 1 stone given from my grandma has been in our family for over 120+ years. Another is from his grandmother’s engagement ring. And the center was given to us by my mother.

So much sentimental value and love went into it and was designed by the family that created my mother and grandmother’s wedding rings. I say it all the time, but I’m the luckiest girl in Idaho!
