How We Met: We actually met through a career information session back when I was in school, and truth to be told, tired from days of networking events, I wasn’t planning to attend on that day until I realized there would be faculty penalties for late withdrawals. Never did I know that it was a lucky day in disguise. There was an interesting position presented that drew my attention and after multiple rounds of interviews, I was introduced to a company that I still work for today. This is when we crossed paths and got to know each other.
how they asked: It was honestly a lot of lies to begin with! He confused me with fake text messages to his friends, phantom appointments and hotel reservations. We were visiting Vancouver, where we had our first dates here. He suggested for us to revisit the places where we first met to take a photo shoot of our own. Needless to say, one of these photo shoot days ended up being our proposal day. But these are all lies that I can live very happily with for the rest of my life. I was so pleasantly surprised by the innovative production; it was an effort beyond my imagination as he has never been very meticulous around romantic dates. Walking down the memory lane, it was as if we have relived our moments together, and every little touch of decorations, photos, poem, flowers, etc complemented each other in a perfect environment. When he knelt and gave the most romantic speech, I was very thrilled to say “yes”!
