How We Met
Jacob & I met back in 2011, on a Friday night. I was a senior in high school and he was a junior. It was the night of the homecoming football game and we ended up being in the same dance group because we had mutual friends. We all went to the game together and a friend introduced us that night, he says he thought I was attractive right away. We didn’t talk much during the game until later that night when we all went bowling. We started to hit it off right away, the next day was the dance! We had other dates but we were very interested in each other so we kind of ditched our dates and hung out that night and pretty much every night after that. Before we knew it we fell for each other and here we are almost 4 years later!

Jacob played off the proposal so so good! I seriously had no idea he was going to propose that day. My best friend came over that day “to go watch a movie” and then Jacob got called into work.. This was their whole plan all along. My friend and I were going to grab a bite to eat and that’s when I saw an envelope on my car reading “Clue #1”, this was the first of 5 clues that day. I went on a scavenger hunt leading me to our first date, our first apartment together, the exact spot we met 4 years ago and finally leading me to the dock at the lake. He decorated the dock with candles, rose petals, and some flowers. He had Love Story by Taylor Swift playing and it was perfect. After he said his speech (which I have no clue what he said. I was so giddy) and got down on his knee I heard a VERY loud cheer coming from the dock next to us and I was surprised to see both of our families there cheering us on! He pulled off the most perfect proposal and I love that he involved our families that special night.
