How We Met: My fiance and I met when I was 16 and he was 18 years old. We dated for a short time and decided that we would go our separate ways. A year went by and we reconnected, and now 7 years later we are more in love than ever, engaged to be married! Call me crazy, but I knew he was the man I was going to marry one day. It truly was love at first sight.
how they asked: He wanted the proposal to be special and for me to have no idea that it was coming, so he popped the question on a completely random night, a Tuesday! I had just gotten back from a week long vacation to Florida with a girlfriend of mine and little did I know a few days later I was going to be proposed to. We had decided that we would order our favorite pizza, Pizza Hut! When we want to treat ourselves, pizza is usually our go-to food. So, Tuesday, December 9th, 2014, my day started the same way it always does Monday-Friday. I woke up, went to work, and went straight to Johnny`s house after work. Johnny called me as soon as he left work and told me he had ordered the pizza. It was only myself and my future father-in-law at the house at the time and thankfully we were distracted with something on the computer. My father-in-law said that he had to do something for a minute but that he had left the money for the pizza on the kitchen counter and for me to answer the door when the door bell rang. Naturally, I said okay and waited for the pizza. Shortly after, the door bell rang and I ran to answer the door. As I opened the door, I saw a man standing with his back facing toward me and said `Sorry sir`. As I was about to continue my sentence Johnny turned around, holding a miniature Pizza Hut box.
My initial thought was `What are you doing here, where is the pizza?’ At that moment, my life changed forever. The man of my dreams asked me to be his wife. He went down on one knee, opened the Pizza Hut box, and starring at me was the most beautiful ring. And yes, we did order pizza afterwards!!!
