In April of last year I had almost given up on dating. I had been single 4 years since my divorce and I even remember tell my coworker at the time, “I’m going on a dating strike!”
That same week I had made a profile on ChristianMingle.com about a week after my profile went “live” I came across a profile of a guy named Matthew Tomasello, now we both cant remember who said hi to whom first but we chatted online for almost 2 weeks before having our first date on a friday night at a minor league baseball game in Sugar Land TX.
On May 19th we were “Facebook Official”, in a relationship! I have 2 daughters from my first marriage, and Matt welcomed them with open arms! So on the weekends, we played a lot of board games.
Fast forward to the night of January 3rd, at Matts home in Missouri City TX. I had my best friend of 12 years and her husband over, as well as Matt’s good friend from college and his wife who lived in the same sud-division as Matt. We decided to play a game of Pictionary, myself the only one in the house not in on Matt’s whole plan to propose. My best friend and her husband were recording the whole thing! I posted the video on my YouTube account so I could show my family and friends, not thinking it would go viral the way it did! We are now planning our wedding for January 3rd 2015, exactly one year from the day he proposed!
