How We Met
The attached proposal story was written by my little brother’s new fiancé. He planned the entire proposal by himself, and thought of every detail down to making sure she thought we were wearing “neutral colors” (aka white) for our pictures, and making sure her nails were done and it was all photographed.
They are 20 and 21 years old, and have been saving up every dime they could since they were 16 so that they could get married and be independent. This kind of love is so rare, and I believe most people would like to know that true love like this still exists!

“I cannot even begin to say how truly magical yesterday was… Thank you to everyone who has commented, texted and called to congratulate us and share in this special time with us. I truly have been waiting for this day since the moment he asked me to be his girlfriend nearly 5 years ago at 16… I’ve always known he was the one. It took a village to pull this off and I just can’t put into words how thankful I am for each and every person who came together to make this possible. For about a month now I’ve thought that we were doing Scheibner family pictures on July 30, 2016… But little did I know the love of my life would ask me to marry him!
He asked me to go on a date with him to our favorite restaurant the night before and I of course said, “yes”! I told him that he should run it by his mom because our reservation time was cutting it close with our pictures and all. After we left dinner, he took me by the hand and lead me to what I thought was our “family picture spot” and on the way, he asked me, “what is that?” And on the ground there was a little lantern, a rose and a note…
One with the date that we met, the date of our first kiss, and the list goes on! It was a little scavenger hunt leading me to his proposal.
We got to a note with a VERY big # on it and I looked at him and asked him what in the world it meant?! And he told me I better read it and find out… It was the # of seconds he had spent being in love with me… And at that point I completely lost it and the ugly cry went into full effect. He then took me to our final destination… The most beautifully decorated gazebo adorned with roses and lights..
The last note had “July 30, 2016” and it read, “July 30, 2016… The day I asked you to marry me” and he got down on one knee and the rest is history.
The night ended with an incredible surprise engagement party with immediate family!!! I am so grateful to God for this amazing man… I can’t wait to be your wife, babe!!”
