We met at my (Josey) cousin’s party and instantly clicked before and after a couple of drinks!
how they asked
After being together for 6 years, I did start getting question-y but I didn’t know it was going to be anytime soon! Come Christmas, Paulino proposed right after midnight after we all got done opening gifts, he purposely went last. He told his cousins a few hours before to have my parents on FaceTime ready to watch. His mom played a non-Christmas, romantic song and he gave me a big box. I opened it and saw a picture of us on our first date and saw he wrote on the picture “will you marry me” I turn around and I see him on one knee. He said it was very emotional planning everything and now I know why he showed so much interest in the Christmas decor that year!
