How They Asked
Eugan & I have known each other for 4 1/2 years. He’s from Jamaica, I’m from Wisconsin, we met in Alaska & got engaged in Arizona. He’s always been a private & relatively reserved person, so when we decided to take a day trip to the Grand Canyon, he, of course, made comments about my excessive selfie-taking. The sun was setting, it was getting colder, & we still had a 4-hour drive home, but he insisted on walking a little ways further down the path. He joined in on the goofy picture taking fun & handed me the phone for “one last selfie.” He put his foot up on rock & told me to sit – he counted to 3 & pulled out the ring right as I snapped the picture! I thank God every day for this man & I can’t wait to be his Mrs.
