how they asked: Adam had been in basic training since the beginning of October in 2014. The only communication during that time was through letters and on Christmas this past year I was very upset that he wouldn’t be home to celebrate with me and our families. On December 20th as I was out to dinner with his family, he walked in and surprised me. On Christmas Eve, our families went to the Church Christmas program which was beautiful. After it ended we wanted to get a picture by the tree. After we snapped a picture he turned to me and got on one knee. That whole week was full of surprises and the best week of my life!
