How We Met
We met through a mutual friend in college at Drexel University. I was in a fraternity and she was in a sorority so we were in similar circles. I brought her to a few social events and for the longest time, she wasn’t too interested. We kept hanging out, seeing each other and our first date together I brought her on a full day-long date. Started at brunch at Honey Sit and Eat, followed by walking around in the city, seeing a movie at the movie theater, and ending it with dinner. She was a year ahead of me in college but we have been dating for what will be 5 years this year.
How They Asked
I asked her to marry me in after our brunch date Sunday morning at Parc in Rittenhouse. This ritzy French restaurant in the city that we both love.
We had an amazing brunch and we walked around Rittenhouse Square, which is this park area in the heart of the city. In the middle of the park, I asked her to spend the rest of our lives together and got on one knee to ask her.
Warm sunny day, so naturally the park was busy and as she was saying yes, the people that were there cheered and clapped, it was a perfect moment. By random coincidence, there was a couple that was celebrating their anniversary in the city and was able to record the moment as well.
