How We Met
I met Andres shortly after I had gotten accepted into grad school in NYC. I was set to move there in 3 months and BAM! in he walked into my life. Our first date was a breakfast date. I woke up at 7:30 am and he picked me up from my house. He lived an hour and a half drive away! After breakfast, we were enjoying each other’s company so much we kept tacking activities onto our day to extend our time together: we went to the aquarium, we went to lunch, we went to a museum, we walked around. It was a lot, but neither of us wanted the day to end. I knew then that our connection was something special.
How They Asked
Now that I am reflecting on it, he was asking questions about engagement length, ring size, etc. so it should’ve been obvious, but we were preparing for our new puppy we were going to go pick up soon so I was so distracted preparing! It was super rainy and foggy the day we picked up the puppy.
We had planned to go to a dog-friendly vineyard after for a quick bite and a scenic setting for puppy photos. Even though it was raining, we still decided to make the most of it! We were taking a rainy stroll in the garden on their grounds when he asked me. The rain, the puppy, the masks, and the view truly made the day unforgettable.
