How We Met
Jon and I met in college after my sister introduced us. We went a few months without talking and then re-connected at a concert with a big group of friends. After that, we started dating and almost three years later he proposed in front of all my family at one of our favorite places in the world! Jon is a cop and I am a preschool teacher. We are both working towards our masters at the moment, starting new jobs, and planning our wedding so we are pretty busy at the moment!
How They Asked
Jon proposed at a resort in beautiful Lincoln, New Hampshire; where my family and I had stayed ever winter for almost twenty years! We spend the whole weekend together, about thirty of us including grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. We harvest our own Christmas tree and spend time just enjoying the season together.
I have taken Jon along for the last three years. New Hampshire is special for us as a couple because it’s where we went on our first vacation together, and spend our summers at my family’s lake cottage. When Jon proposed it was lightly snowing and we were standing in a gazebo overlooking a lake.
He had this beautiful speech prepared and I cried instantly. After I said “yes!” We re-joined my family for champagne and celebrating.
