How We Met
We met on Bumble in November of 2019. I was the person that paid to see who swiped right on me because I thought it would help me figure out who would not waste my time. A lot of the guys I was talking to were ghosting me and I was starting final exams. So, if Zach didn’t work out then I was going to take a break from Bumble. The funny thing was Zach recently created his account and I was the first girl that we had a genuine conversation with. After talking for a few days we met up for a dinner and a movie after I was done with work on Black Friday. He was so nervous and I thought it was so cute and sweet. I knew he was different than most guys. He’s so goofy and compassionate, and those are the reasons why I fell for him.
How They Asked
We were on vacation with his parents in Texas, first in San Antonio then Galveston. It was the night June 17th, 2020 on the beach. We had just got back from dinner with his parents and I told him I wanted to go take a walk on the beach. As we were walking down the beach he stopped me and turned me towards the ocean. He said to close my eyes. He was having some issues with the ring because it got tangled on a necklace chain (I didn’t know this was happening, I just heard him grumbling). He asked me to hold his phone with the flashlight. I didn’t know what was going on, but he got it untangled! He put it around my neck, it felt really heavy and I asked him what it was. Then he said only if you say yes and I did!
