How We Met
Eric and I met in September 2015 when I started working at the same grocery store as him. He always tells me that he saw me as I was walking into the department and he knew he wanted to get to know me better. We officially started dating in February 2016, and our first date to see Deadpool, was just before Valentine’s Day! Over the years we moved in together, adopted a cat, Kansas, and just experienced life together!
How They Asked
In summer 2021 we decided we would take a trip to Seattle, Washington to see some of our friends that had moved up there before the pandemic, plus we had never been and I love coffee. On our last full day in Washington, our group of friends was able to finally coordinate all of us getting together, so we hopped on a ferry to Vashon Island. The views of Mt. Rainer were amazing! We had breakfast with some of our friends, checked out a bookshop, and then headed to Dragon’s Head Cidery for a cider tasting and to meet up with everyone else! After we all enjoyed some cider and the views, we decided to go to the Point Robinson Lighthouse before the sun started to set.
We were having a wonderful time just catching up with everyone and taking in the sights when Eric said we should walk a little closer to the water, and maybe get some pictures with Mt. Rainer. Eric started telling me how wonderful our trip had been, and that he was happy I went with him, and how much he loved me, and then he got on one knee and pulled out a beautiful ring, and I was shocked! I said yes, and kissed him, and then asked if I had to take my gloves off now. Apparently, he had it planned for our whole trip that he was going to propose, and had asked our friends to scope out the best picture-perfect location! We all celebrated with dinner at The Hardware Store, and it was the most magical day I could have imagined!
