At the University of Texas during our sophomore year! We were both members of the same organization on campus.

We’d been planning a vacation to Napa Valley for a few months. Arijit had a week off from his residency program, and we were so excited to reunite and do our favorite thing together, eat! We drove in from San Francisco and I was curious as to why Arijit was in such a hurry to get to our first tasting at Newton Vineyard, before google maps even showed it was open for the day. As soon as we arrived I was blown away by the beautiful landscape. We walked through the vineyard and Arijit paused so we could “take some pictures.” Before I knew it, he was down on one knee! We celebrated with amazing wine tastings and delicious food. As cheesy as it might sound, it was truly the most romantic and perfect day. When we got back into the city, the fun continued when our families surprised us and we explored San Francisco with them!
