How We Met
We were 13 when we first met in eighth grade and I thought nothing more of him than one of those rowdy boys that played football. It wasn’t until we were 15 and in the same history class that I finally gave that rowdy boy that played football a chance. It wasn’t a chance that was given lightly, he tried for 6 months asking me on dates while we both were persistent to anyone who asked that we were just friends. Everyone including our teachers knew that we were only kidding ourselves. After awhile I noticed that the guy who seemed to be everyone’s best friend had a certain soft spot for me; and to be quite honest I had grown pretty fond of him. We started dating our sophomore year of high school and have been together ever since.

After our high school graduation, we went on a cruise with friends for our senior trip. My favorite thing to do on the cruise was sit at the front of the boat at night and enjoy the peacefulness of the ocean and the quietness of boat life in the late hours. Fast forward to my senior year of college on spring break; it was the first night on the 7 day Caribbean cruise we had been looking forward to for nearly a year and I could tell he was nervous about something the whole day and acting just a little off. After dinner that night once we returned to our room, He asked if I wanted to go to the front of the boat with him and talk; of course I did. Once at the front of the boat, he got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. In October of 2017, I will be marrying my high school sweetheart and I could not be more excited for our fairytale.
