How We Met
Stephen and I met when we were 19 years old at a graduation party. He was bartending and I was attending my friend’s party. I wasn’t 21 yet, so I kept having my mom go to the bar to order more wine so we could go talk to him. A few weeks later we got in contact over Instagram where he asked for my number. We went on our first date to a miniature golf course, where he claims he let me win.
How They Asked
Stephen told me that our parents planned to go get dinner and drinks at a local cider-yard. Before we went to dinner he told me he wanted to walk to the brewery down the street from my parents’ house to grab a quick drink. We took the path behind my parents’ house to get to the brewery. We got halfway when he led me to the most beautiful and romantic setup. It looked like a fairytale.
When we got to the setup, our dog, Sally, came running down the path to be there for the special moment. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. We then met our families at my family’s clubhouse for fire and champagne. We all got dinner and drinks and celebrated the rest of the night.
