How We Met
Richard and I matched on a dating app! Our first date was to a hip spot on SLC, UT for gelato, and we spent a warm summer night talking for about 2.5 hours! From that moment on we just clicked and spent many warm summer nights together and fell in love!
How They Asked
Richard asked me a few days before if I could attend a small dessert party for his dad’s bday. It was at his aunt and uncle’s house who lives directly across from the Utah State Capital in a state historical building. Upon arrival at their house, his aunt asked if I wanted a tour. Of course, I said yes and was in awe the whole time of the incredible views. She encouraged Richard and me to go to the roof as the best views 360 views are up there.
Out a window, we climbed and climbed to the rooftop. After a few minutes, Richard pointed to something on the street level and said “what’s that?” I walked over and saw below huge gold balloons that said “marry me” when I turned back around, Richard was on his knee with a ring and asked to marry him! Truly was magical and felt like I was literally on top of the world!
