How They Asked
We had our first real date on his rooftop. I say real date because we met on a dating app, the first day he arrived from Arizona and the first day I ever got on the dating app. So, naturally, he had the idea to propose on his rooftop. We went to a wine bar the day that he proposed, and he said that he wants to learn a popular dance. So we went back to the roof and started learning the dance while recording it on his laptop. After dancing terribly, he got down on one knee and proposed. We always say we met in the most unconventional way, naturally, he proposed in an unconventional way.
