This is Ann and Gable
(at least, that’s what we’d like to think their names are).
As told to us by the fan who took these photos at Sandals Royal Caribbean and tagged us in this photo, “I happened to be sitting on my balcony on an overcast afternoon, at exactly the right place at the right time and I couldn’t resist snapping a pic of this surreal moment. Luckily, he fumbled for the ring or I would have missed the whole thing!” They walked right out onto the pier together and he got down on one knee. We imagine he said something like , “Anna, I’ve never met a woman as sweet, kind, yet vivacious and free-spirited as you. There is no way in this world I could carry on without having you forever in my life. You are a part of my world now and I hope today you allow me to be a part of yours. Will you marry me?” (Not bad, right?)
Of course, she said, “Yes!”
She jumped up after he put the ring on and they held each other in the kind of embrace that feels like forever.
What happened next is a scene straight out of The Notebook…
It began to rain! In the Caribbean, rain during a momentous occasion is seen as a direct sign of blessings from above. As if they could no longer hold back their approval of this young couple’s decision to become man and wife, the heaven opened up and rained their blessings down on them. It was beautiful. Shortly after, our source told us the couple sealed the deal by jumping right into the warm, Caribbean sea – ring and all!
