How We Met
We knew of each other in grade school, but we never spoke to each other until our sophomore year of high school when we had a class together. Then our junior year of high school, we had our first period class together and one night he asked me what the homework was, and we ended up talking from there. In October of 2011, we became more than friends, and we made it official on October 23, 2011. We have been together for 4 years and are high school sweethearts.
how they asked
Every year, my family goes to a pumpkin farm in Wooster, Ohio called Ramseyer’s. They have a lot of fun fall activities for kids and adults. The weekend we went was 2 days after Ryan and I celebrated 4 years being together. Both my sisters, their husbands, my niece and nephew and my parents were all there. We went on a hay ride, and then into the corn maze. As we were walking out, I looked up and saw this set up with hay bales and pumpkins. The pumpkins on top of the hay bales read “Will you marry me?” I had no idea what was going on. My first reaction was “What’s happening?” Ryan turns to me and says, “Morgan, you are the love of my life, and I don’t want to spend my life with any one but you.” He then got down on one knee, opened a small carved out pumpkin and pulled out the ring. He presents the ring to me and says, “Morgan, will you marry me?” At this point, I was hyperventilating but I managed to get out a “YES!” It was great to have my whole family there to witness it, and Ryan’s aunt was there to capture the moment! It was perfect!
