How We Met
Matt and I met through Tinder. I thought Tinder was a joke and never thought I would meet my soulmate on there. Our first date was on November 10, 2018. He took me to armature works and we had the best time. We talked for hours and neither of us wanted to leave. At the end of the date, he walked me to my car and told me that he had a great time. I felt the same way. The next day he asked me out on a second date. We started going on dates every week and after our third date, we knew that we were soulmates. He asked me to be his girlfriend on our third date and we’ve been inseparable since then. Matt is my best friend and the love of my life. He made me believe in true love again.
How They Asked
I came home from work on December 20, 2019, and Matt told me that we were going on a date. This was surprising to me because he had not mentioned it earlier in the week. The first place he took me was to Armature Works. That was the place where we had our first date. We ate pizza and talked about how our first year together had gone by so quickly. Then he told me we were going ice skating. Matt and I had gone ice skating the year before and we love it especially because it hardly ever gets cold in Florida. After we finished ice skating Matt said that he wanted to walk along the riverwalk. By this time I was super tired from work and wanted to relax and go home. Matt was acting strangely and said that he really wanted to walk down the river walk.
I told him that I would but that I didn’t want to stay out too late because I was tired. We walked down the riverwalk and started talking about our future together. As we were walking back Matt spontaneously got down on one knee and proposed. I was shocked! He completely took me off guard and surprised me. I knew the proposal was coming I just had no idea that it was going to be that day. I said yes!! Matt and I are now planning our wedding and getting married in October. We’re super excited for the future and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with him.
