how they asked
We moved to Edmonton last September, and the first place we went on a date after starting our lives together in this new province was this beautiful fountain. When the day came, he told me we were going for dinner and then when we got there surprised me by taking me straight to the fountain. We took our shoes off and waded in like we did on our first date there, then all the sudden he took my hands, said some beautiful words and got down on his knee, drenched in the water I might add, and asked me to marry him. I was completely shocked and blown away, and of course, I said yes.
He told me afterward that he had bought the ring 5 months ago, just a few months after moving, and had been waiting for the right day to propose. Safe to say his patience paid off because I could not possibly have asked for a more perfect moment.
