How We Met
During my last semester at Texas A&M I started going to a gym that Charles had been going to for quite a while. I noticed him every time I went when he was there. One night, exactly a week before I graduated and was moving back home, his friend texted me suggesting that Charles and I should meet. So that night we met and became best friends instantly! I never would’ve guessed I’d meet my HUSBAND a week before I graduated from Texas A&M after being there for 4.5 years! I had moved home after graduating and it was clear that Charles intended on continuing to pursue me regardless of living in different cities. We had seen each other practically every weekend – I’d go up to visit him on the weekends he worked, and he’d come down to visit me the weekends he was off. We knew we wanted to be together & he made it so easy to be together by finding a job near me without even asking a question. His heart & intentions are so pure & good and I cannot wait to be his WIFE!!!
How They Asked
He had the ring for a couple of months before he finally proposed on May 16, 2020 but he did such an amazing job of keeping it a surprise and planning it all so perfectly. He met with my parents and sister the Wednesday before proposing and told them his intentions and asked for their approval and they were thrilled! He told me he was taking me to get pizza Saturday night – so we got ready for our date night and he took me to a pizza restaurant that was right off the waterway which was where we had spent our first date at when he visited me in my hometown. After pizza he asked if I wanted to walk down the waterway, where we have so many special memories, and I was getting so giddy. Eventually he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Our entire families came out and celebrated with us. It was the most joyful day of my life!
