How We Met
Adam and I met about 11 months ago on Bumble! Our first date was at a Mexican restaurant and Adam brought flowers because I had mentioned loving flowers in my profile. We connected right away and knew pretty quickly that we had each found the one. He met my parents that same week and things took off from there! A month later he asked me to be his girlfriend on the roof of his apartment building. Since then we’ve had so much fun traveling and spending time with our friends and family in our home city of Raleigh.
How They Asked
Adam and I had planned a trip to Savannah as something to look forward to once Covid-19 started to clear up. I thought we were going to have a quiet weekend with just the two of us, but little did I know that 20 of our closest friends and family were all hiding out on nearby Tybee Island! On Saturday, we took a romantic horse and carriage ride to Forsyth Park and Adam proposed in front of the beautiful, white fountain where my mom and stepdad were married several years ago.
He had a photographer capture the moment perfectly! After the proposal, I thought we were headed to a fancy dinner for two on Tybee Island, but we arrived at a beach house with everyone waiting outside cheering with balloons and signs. I was SHOCKED. His mom cooked an amazing dinner and we spent the rest of the weekend on the island with all of the people we love most. It was the most incredible weekend and we’ve never felt so blessed or grateful. I can’t wait to be Mrs. Knight!
