how they asked
Shane and I met in 10th grade, I sat infront of him in class. I instantly thought he was the cutest kid in school. we would always hang out in groups, never alone. A few months later he came over after school and we were sitting on my couch, he grabbed my hand and asked me to be his girlfriend. I was so excited and nervous at the same time I couldn’t even say anything. All I did was shake my head yes in excitement! We dated for a year and then the summer going into senior year we ended up breaking up. We went our separate ways but remained friends. Then at the end of senior year, he asked me to prom. A month later, he asked me to be his girlfriend again. 8 years later, we bought our first home together.
We went to my lake house to make sure the boat wasn’t slipping on the ice on the ground. When we pulled up I saw my brother and sisters standing there with signs and I instantly was confused on what was going on. We got out of the car and walked over, and my sisters boyfriend was in the corner taking pictures of the whole thing.
it was two days before, what would have been our ten year anniversary from the first time he asked me to be his girlfriend. Ten years later he gets down on one knee and asks me to be his wife. Again, being so nervously all I could do was squeal and say YES!
