How We Met
Brian and I are a Tinder success story! Dare I use the hashtag that makes me cringe (#tinderella)!? I’m such an advocate for online/app dating because we would have never met if it weren’t for Tinder and there were so many parallels. We lived less than a mile from each other in Santa Monica, both grew up in Westchester, New York, both our dad’s lived in neighboring towns in New Jersey and we shared family members that worked for the same company in New York. The caveat to our meeting sooner was our age difference – 12 years.
Brian actually fibbed about his age on Tinder (he hates when I say that ;)), but I’m so thankful he did because we wouldn’t have “matched” otherwise. So we both swiped “right” and the rest is history!

He could have proposed to me a on Tuesday night at home while watching “House of Cards” and I would have been thrilled. That said, the proposal we had was beyond magical. We were in Paris celebrating my 30th birthday – it was both of our first times to the gorgeous city. The day of my birthday he surprised me with a picnic at the Eiffel Tower. After we finishing stuffing our faces with cheese, baguettes and wine, Brian popped the question!

Later that night we celebrated our engagement and my entering the new decade with a beautiful rooftop dinner overlooking the Eiffel Tower.
