How We Met
Back in 2009, Jeremy and I met in the 9th grade through mutual friends and high school sports. I was a cheerleader and he played soccer and lacrosse. Total stud. After a few months of becoming friends, I made a bet with him that if he won his soccer game against their rival team I would finally agree to be his girlfriend. Well…he won the game and we have been inseparable since!
How They Asked
My whole family planned to go into New York City to see the tree just like how we do every year. But for months, Jeremy was planning on doing something else this time! My younger sisters Amanda and Caitlyn planned to take an earlier train in than us because they were “meeting” their boyfriends in the city. Jeremy and I were running late, so we took the next train in and planned to meet my sisters there. Little did I know they were really setting up the whole proposal scene and I had no idea!
First, we went to Central Park because I had never been and Jeremy told me I had to see the Bow Bridge! After walking under a little bridge with a man playing a beautiful song on the violin there was a rose petal pathway leading to a gazebo overlooking the water and Bow Bridge in the background. Jeremy took my hand, walked me down the path, got down on one knee and asked me the question of a lifetime! It was everything I dreamed of and more.
It was perfect! 9 years later, we are engaged and I couldn’t be more excited I get to marry my best friend and high school sweetheart!!!
