how we met
We first met in middle school but we did not begin a romance until my 21st birthday bash. I threw a “super cool” party at the local pub and invited all of my friends. George was a proper gentlemen that evening and bought me a special birthday drink (ok, ok, it was a Long Island Iced Tea). This kicked off a summer romance!
how they asked
I had just graduated from dental school, which had been a long and grueling road. We rewarded ourselves with a 2-week vacation to Scotland and England. Naturally, George felt this was the perfect opportunity to propose. He created an elaborate plan to drive out to the Isle of Skye and even hired a photographer to capture our special moment! Unfortunately, I became very sick on this trip and was practically dying on the day of the proposal. But I made it despite it all and it was still the best day of my life, hands down. George proposed in the “Fairy Glen,” a truly magical nook surrounded by ethereal mountains and Skye mist. He got down on one knee and asked if I would be his travel partner for life. I still get teary eyed thinking about it! Then, we drove to the local hospital to get some antibiotics. But we were smiling the whole way!
