How They Asked
We had a trip planned to Montreal and he later told me he has planning to do it on the trip, but COVID got in the way. So instead, we decided to go on a hike at Ragged Mountain. I had noticed that there was a weird shape in his pocket, but I thought it was just the way his wallet was sitting. We went for a hike and we were just coming to the very end and we came across a little bridge. He distracted me and got me to look away from him/at the water below and then he got down on one knee and after the sweetest speech asked me to marry him. I obviously cried haha. A young couple behind us had seen it happen and ran down to congratulate us and take some photos. It was low key and perfect!
I was very close with my grandma and she left me her engagement ring when she passed. Eric actually took the diamond from her ring and reset it! So he proposed with my grandmother’s diamond!
