how they asked: Bryan and I go to Disneyland all the time! We both love the magic and love to share that with our friends and family as much as we can. A good friend of mine had never been so Bryan planned a trip for us to take her along with my parents, my sister and my cousin (who is really more of a second sister).
We all spent the day together watching shows and going on rides. Even though Bryan and I go to Disneyland all the time together we never had the chance to watch the fireworks together. My dad snagged a great spot right in front of the castle for us, me thinking this whole time we were pulling out all the stops for my Disney Virgin friend. After we watched the show Bryan insisted we take a photo in front of the castle so that friend could have the full Disney experience. Little did I know him and my mom had been coordinating with the photographer all day! To my surprise they called our party up first and we took a bunch of group shots. Then the photographer asked Bryan and I to take a photo together. I played along as he posed us in all the traditional Disney shots and then he asked if their were any special poses we wanted to try. I quickly said “no thanks” and started walking away to join our group and get some final rides in when I heard Bryan say “I have one”.
I turned around expecting a ridiculous pose that would most likely embarrass me when instead I found him on one knee smiling up at me. All of the sudden it was like we were the only people in the whole park as I tried to hold back tears and listen to his speech. It was like all my senses went numb and all I kept thinking was “remember this!” The rest of the night was a complete blur of tears and smiles and all things Disney. I will always remember it as one of the most magical days of my life. I felt like a real princess that day and can’t wait for me and my prince to start our Happily Ever After!
