How We Met
My fiancé and I meet over 4 years ago. We had mutual friends that planned a night out in Portland for NYE. Him and I found ourselves the only ones not coupled off at one point in the night and he’s began making jokes to make me laugh. As the NYE count down began, he leaned in and asked if he could kiss me. I of course said yes!!! We have been inseparable ever since.
My mom says that she knew Allen would be the man I would marry from the first time I told her about him. She says that she knew when I couldn’t stop smiling every time his name would show up on my phone and how my face would light up whenever would talk about him.
I still find myself getting butterflies when I am with him and feel so lucky to have such a kind, thoughtful man by my side. We seem to always be on the same page and he is always up for any spontaneous adventure or trip I propose to him. We are both very active people who enjoy spending our time with our family and friends.
I can’t imagine my life without him sharing in every moment. I am truly the luckiest woman on Earth!

This summer we made the move to the Portland area to pursue new careers. At the end of this October, Allen took me into downtown Portland for an early dinner and drinks. Little did I know, it would be a night full of surprises! He proposed to me on the water front in front of the foundation. He had arranged for a photographer/one of my closest friends to be there to capture every moment. He also surprised me with our families being on the boat he had arranged for us all to have dinner on. AND to top if all off he had gotten us a hotel room to stay in for the night, where he arranged for our closest friends to be waiting in with champagne to help is celebrate. It truly was my favorite day EVER.
I feel so lucky to be marrying someone so thoughtful and who knows me better than I know myself.
