how they asked
During the middle of our trip to Europe, we were blessed to stop in Florence, Italy for a day. We started the day enjoying biscottis & coffees before our cooking class with Chef Vary. We had a blast learning to make pasta, gnocchi, ravioli paired with Chianti Colli Florentine wine. When we finished our class, we wanted to explore more of the city and see typical tourist spots in the city. We strolled down the streets of Firenze past Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo di Firenze and ended our day with the best view of the city at San Miniato al Monte. The tourist attraction is famous having the best views of the city, and we knew ending there would be the icing on the cake for the day. We walk into the main area for scenic views, and Matt starts talking about how much he has been enjoying the trip so far and how much he loved spending the trip with me.
We held hands, giggled talking about our highlights of the day and Matt says he wants to take a selfie to remember the moment. We take the selfie when another tourist asks if we wanted him to take the photo be his wife. My tears were instant and I immediately said yes.
Turns out the tourist was a hired photographer by Matt and he took us around the site to take one-of-a-kind pictures in a one-of-a-kind place. I immediately wanted to call friend and family, but Matt let me know that everyone already knew and were waiting for us to come home to celebrate.
