How We Met
I’ve known Caleb for a while, since high school and college. I knew his family because of the church we go to, Christ’s Church of the Valley in San Dimas. I worked my first long term job at a pizza place with him, (he was a cute pizza delivery driver) but I actually didn’t like him yet alone really noticed him.. He was always just a friend or someone I worked with and served with at our church. But, after a while we seemed to hang out more because of the mutual friends that we had and noticed each other more. One night we both got off of work early and we were supposed to hang out with our friends, but they ended up bailing on us but we still wanted to do something, so he took me up to this place called Glendora Mountain Road where there are beautiful views of the mountains and the city lights. (I know, I know, friends don’t go look at romantic city lights at night) That night we talked for hours under the stars probably until 1-2am, but that was the night that I got to know Caleb and his dreams, goals, and what he wanted in his future. Seeing how he wasn’t self seeking, how much he wanted to put God above everything, and trusting in God about his future was really the most attractive thing to me and I think it was that night that I started to develop feelings for him. :)
how they asked
It was on my birthday August 2, 2015. Caleb Samuel Richards planned the whole day for me, from fulfilling one of my dreams of going on a hot air balloon ride early in the morning, to taking me to my favorite place in the world (Disneyland) and ending the day surprising me with the beach and proposing at sunset in front of our close family and friends was so indescribable!
I cannot even explain all of the emotions that I felt and to think this was all in God’s plan is insane! God is so good and he TRULY gives us all the deepest desires of our hearts. I am so grateful for being able to be blessed with a man who seeks after God’s heart and puts Him above all else, there’s no one else I would rather spend the rest of my life with! Mark 10:9-“Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” <3
