how they asked: We were about to board the Hogwart’s Express, as a staff member of the train directed us to our own cabin. David told me that he paid the the employee $20 for us to get our own cabin. (He really didn’t, but I didn’t think anything of it.) As the train started to leave, I was filming and watching the scene in the window. David wanted me to stand up to “take my picture” but since I was filming, I tried to “shush” him so I could hear the audio in the train.
He then grabbed my hand, stood me up, and got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of our lives together. I was in shock and couldn’t believe this was happening.
He stood up and I hugged him, and he asked me if that meant yes. “Of course it means yes!!!!” We hugged the rest of the train ride until we arrived at King’s Cross Station. As the train stopped, the doors opened and a Hogwart’s Express employee stepped into the cabin and asked “What all the commotion was about?” and that he heard we were “causing problems.” I was confused (because I didn’t know David told the employees that he was proposing). So David told me to show him the ring. “Congratulations, m’lady! He said. “We just need you to stay on the train for just a moment longer.”
Once we stepped onto the platform, the station filled with applause from the crowd waiting for the next train! I couldn’t believe this was happening at the most magical place in the world! I was so happy I couldn’t stop crying. On the way out of the station, everyone was congratulating us and one couple stopped us to show us a picture they took of us that they wanted to email us. Which is the picture here.
I couldn’t have asked for a more magical proposal. And too the most wonderful man. To the Hogwart’s Express Employees for making this experience something I will cherish forever. And to the kind stranger who took our picture. My heart is full of gratitude. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
