How We Met

I’m a hardcore believer in “if it’s meant to be, it’ll be.” We were friends since high school but not close. Then we attended the same college where Magid actually proposed to me with a ring pop on Valentine’s Day 2013. I obviously said no since it wasn’t a real ring …. fast forward 7 years later. Magid asked me out when I was back home from grad school & ever since then there hasn’t been a weekend where we don’t see each other.

How They Asked

I like to say I walked into love with Magid because of his selfless, adventurous personality. Magid has always been the greatest at picking great date ideas from broadway to sightseeing, & our favorite: rooftops. We both enjoy the NYC skyline & he would always pick a new rooftop to visit on the weekends. The Crown has an amazing view and we had visited it before.

So when we were on the way I thought we were meeting up with his coworkers. However, when I got upstairs I walked into Ed Sheeran’s infamous “Perfect” playing out loud as I walked toward a trail of our pictures. This all led to a beautiful sign stating “Be My Wife” with the NYC skyline in the background. Magid got down on one knee & I was so happy to say yes to being his wife.
