How We Met
I’m afraid it’s nothing so romantic! Haha! We met online over three years ago because we couldn’t find anyone who met what we wanted in a partner in our current social groups. Out of this frustration, we both joined the same dating site. I had been on the site for close to nine months and Maricruz for about four months. Before meeting her, I had actually had a terrible date with someone I met through the site. It made me reevaluate what I liked in a girl which caused me to reach out to Maricruz. I sent her this free-subscription “smile” because it cost $40 a month for the full site (I didn’t want to keep paying $40 each month). Unfortunately for me, Maricruz sent a message which I couldn’t read because I wasn’t subscribed. So I then had to fork over $40 just to read the message and the entire time I’m just thinking, “This better not be a ‘Sorry! Not interested!'”. Thankfully, it wasn’t and we started messaging each other. To be honest, I was actually afraid that I might be getting catfished… she had a really pretty picture… so I asked her if she would go on a date with me about 3 days after messaging each other to which she unhesitatingly said “No.” Said she didn’t know me well enough yet. So, we arranged to have a Skype date that weekend… as fate would have it, someone had knocked the antennae off Maricruz’s wi-fi router and we couldn’t Skype (which only increased my catfishing fears). She ended up sending me her number and we started texting. Over the next couple of weeks, we started texting from sun up until sun down and she was all I could talk about to anyone. Our conversations contained so much depth that I no longer feared she wasn’t real. I tell everyone that I fell in love with Maricruz before I ever met her because I fell in love with the person she is. About a month after our original encounter, we set up a date to actually meet… October 28th. I picked her up at her house and we were both incredibly nervous and freaking out. Haha. We ended up bowling and going to dinner. I asked her to be my girlfriend that night and four days after our second anniversary, we were married.Always Find You
how they asked
October 28th. I picked her up at her house and we were both incredibly nervous and freaking out. Haha. We ended up bowling and going to dinner. After a great night of laughs we went to fairmount park in riverside and sat at the bridge and just being surrounded by her presence and not ever wanting to leave her side. I wanted to keep life simple, so I simply looked at her and pulled out my ring and asked her to be mine. After that, everyday from then till now has been a fairytale come true.
