How We Met
Kevin and I met through his sister, her and I used to live together and when she got engaged I attended the bridal shower. Kevin was there and we just met, as I was mingling with other friends they all mentioned I should go on a date with Kevin. I was hesitant because I was not there for that!!! A friend of ours got drunk on champagne and when Kevin and I were talking she came over and said out loud “you two should go on a date!” The rest is history!
How They Asked
Kevin is in the military so he was able to come home for two weeks. He apparently had all these beautiful plans but unfortunately due to COVID-19 they all got cancelled. We took up bike riding during this time and he asked me if I wanted to go bike riding and have a picnic on the lake. I said yeah, and so we went! After we got to the lake we had a picnic and after we were done eating Kevin pulls out the ring and says the kindest words, then asked me to marry him! It was simple, it was sweet, it was us.
