How We Met
Who would have thought that a few conversations on Instagram (thank you mutual friends) would lead to the best first date we ever had. Plot twist, Anthony was leaving to work in the Middle East that upcoming summer and I was finishing my Masters degree in Upstate New York. Next thing we knew we were in a long-distance relationship traveling around the world for a year, to moving in together and traveling some more. Now 4 years later, we’re planning a wedding.
How They Asked
A weekend getaway to New York City turned into a complete celebration of our love for one another. I was expecting a regular picnic lunch in Central Park, however, this lunch date turned out to be one that I will always cherish. As we were setting up the picnic area, Anthony asked to take a picture. After his first sentence, the rest of his words became a blur. The next thing I knew, he was down on one knee and tears fell down my face as he asked me to marry him. The next thing I knew, a photographer, who I later found out was hired by Anthony, began taking pictures. She introduced herself and then took beautiful shots of us around Central Park. New York City was the first place that Anthony and I travelled to together, but after this trip, this City holds the most special place in our hearts.
