How We Met
We met in the Arizona State University Sun Devil Marching Band! We both play alto saxophone, and we were in the same section. I had a major crush on him the first time I saw him, but he was two years older than me and I was a small freshman… so naturally, I never thought he would like me. But, we became really good friends for a couple months and I finally asked him to dinner, and the rest is history!
How They Asked
We have been together for 3 years now, and every year we’ve been together, we have done a photoshoot to celebrate that year. For the past couple of months, Robby had been sending me these clues in the mail, and they were buttons that had either a picture of us or a letter. The two letters I got were, ‘M’ and ‘R’ so naturally I thought they were our initials.
It’s October 28, and we go to our photo shoot, start taking pictures, and then our photographer leads us to a forest-looking area. I find two more buttons in there, take some pictures, and then the photographer asks me to do some solo shots. Then, she tells me to go between two trees and starts running! I go, and there Robby is with a sign that says “Will you mar_y _e?” with the missing letters that he had sent me!! I was completely in shock and so very thankful for this man!!
