How We Met
We met through mutual friends when he was trying to make his way into a career in the hunting industry. We became fast friends even though one of my roommates was interested in him. He later told me he fell in love with me from our first one on one conversation. We didn’t talk for over a year and finally reconnected about 8 months ago. Since we met, he’s started two different companies and is living out his dreams as a hunter. I’ve fallen in love with his hobbies just as much as i’ve fallen for him. I’ve got my best friend and now fiancé all wrapped into one.

We had a group of clients out in the snow goose spread on a hunt in the middle of nowhere Arkansas. He had a professional photographer / videographer on site with us and told me that he was there to take footage for the companies. Little did I know, he had other plans. He said that we needed pictures of the birds and told me to grab them. Once I smiled for a shot he dropped down to one knee and pulled out one of my grandma’s old wedding bands that he completely re-vamped for me. I froze and didn’t even think to drop the birds. Never would I have imagined my proposal happening with dead birds in hand and blood-stained fingers, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
