How We Met
We met when I was fourteen years old and he was fifteen. A good friend of mine at the time is his cousin and she needed a friend to accompany her on the three hour drive to his house to visit. The first time I saw him he had just gotten home from Jiu Jitsu, all sweaty but I thought he was the cutest guy ever. I was told “that’s the one” back then and I never believed it. Now I do.

On Saturday September 17th of 2016 Tristan proposed to me! Lately we have really enjoyed going hiking so I thought it was just another hike. My sister and her boyfriend also came with us and she had her camera as she always does. Nothing seemed out of the blue. When we got to the falls Tristan pointed to this rock and said “let’s go take a picture down there” which is unlike him(I usually always ask, hardly ever him). So we went down on the Rock and my hand was on his upper back and I could feel his heart pounding and it was then that I knew something was up. He kissed me with a huge smile on his face and I could feel him digging for something in his pocket and the world stopped around me. He got down on one knee, and he actually almost fell off, (there was a hole where his knee was supposed to go) and popped the question!
Of course I said yes!
Then I realized my sister had been taking photos of it the whole time! It was so special and I loved it.
