How We Met: Chris and I first met in Mrs. Cenis’s 3rd and 4th grade classroom! However, it was not until freshman year of high school where he eventually stole my heart using those big beautiful sky blue eyes and goofy yet adorable dance moves at our first winter formal. Almost nine years later and he’s still got it!
how they asked: My parents had decided to rent a beautiful house on the Cape for a week this summer where the whole family could take vacation and spend some time together. On our second night at the house while we were all deciding what to do for dinner, my little sister suggested getting all dressed up to go to nice restaurant on the water. As I finishing up getting ready that night, I noticed the house was suddenly very quiet. I started to walk around the house, calling around to my brothers and sisters but heard no response. When I came around the corner, I saw Chris standing at the top of the stairs, waiting for me. He led me out through the sliding glass doors that open up to the enormous wrap-around deck that faces the ocean. The deck was lined in flickering candles and there were flowers set up around the railing. Although it had been raining and cloudy all afternoon, as soon as he got down on his knee to propose, the sun came out and we were able to see the sun set over the ocean. It was the absolute PERFECT night! I was so lucky to be able to celebrate with the whole family right after!
