How We Met
Joe and I first met over four years ago through a mutual friend in Oklahoma. Joe played football and being a girl from Texas I was a sucker for a football player. I went to his spring football game and the rest was history! After a year in Oklahoma Joe transferred to the University of West Florida and after a semester I followed!
How They Asked
Joe is the left guard at the University of West Florida a small Division II school in Pensacola,FL. As a Redshirt Senior, this was his late year to play. At the beginning of the season, we had no idea how far his team would make it. Game after game we kept winning and we finally made it to the National Championship Game in McKinney, TX (which happens to be about 45 minutes away from my hometown)! Joe and his team fought hard and WON!! I stormed the field (along with hundreds of others) found Joe and gave him the biggest hug and kiss! I couldn’t believe we had just won…he had worked so hard for this moment.
We actually got separated and then when we found each other a couple minutes late he gave me the longest hug! Little did I know it was because he was getting ready to pop the question! A circle of my closest friends, family, and Argo family gathered around us as joe got down on one knee!! I honestly couldn’t have imagined a more perfect needing to Joe’s playing career and the start to the rest of our lives!
